This is one of the real gems of Aoteroa. The history of colonisation, farming, forestry, the railways is all covered in this journey. The management of the tours is excellent, the guides were first class, the care and attention to each other and to guests was second to none. Thoroughly recommend this as at least a days adventure. Also, the motel was very comfortable and made for a good base for the tour and explorations of the surrounding area.
