Forgotten World Motel is the headquarters for Forgotten World Adventures and the departure point for most of our experiences.                           Why not book to stay the night before and / or after your experience for convenience?

We offer 15 comfortable ensuite rooms suitable for solo travellers, couples and families, including a fully accessible wheelchair unit. The motel is within easy walking distance of the town’s cafés, restaurants and shops and is just 5 minutes from one of New Zealand’s must-play golf courses, the Tarrangower, Taumarunui. Enjoy a cooked or continental breakfast* (gluten free and dairy free options available) before you ride the rails and a generous helping of authentic Kiwi hospitality throughout your stay. Breakfast can be pre-ordered and can be served either in our dining room or in your own room.

We offer free Wi-Fi throughout and ample off-road parking. All units feature electric blankets, TVs, toasters, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary home-baking, and we have laundry facilities available to help get your gear ready for your next activity.
