The Whanga Butchers Shop B&B

The Bridge House and The Butchers Shop

Right in the heart of Whangamomona are two delightful, newly and extensively renovated accommodations. Whanga Bridge House which is easily recognised by it's unique, deliberately designed, dotty roof and Whanga Butchers Shop a cosy little house where you sleep in the chiller, but it is now a warm and comfy experience! Both are right on the main street of Whangamomona and just a stones throw from the iconic Whangamomona Hotel.

The Whanga Bridge House is all on one level with three bedrooms, a full kitchen and a lovely warm wood burning fireplace and can sleep a maximum of seven. It has a covered deck where you can enjoy a BBQ dinner (ask Forgotten World Adventures about their BBQ packs that can be delivered while you are on the rails) overlooking the river and all three of Whangamomona's bridges.

The Whanga Butchers Shop is also all on one level with a full kitchen, shower, wood burning fire and also sleeps a maximum of seven. It's deck, right on the main street, gives you a chance to hang out with the locals, humans or animals!

The two accommodations are ideal for groups travelling the rail line, sleeping a total of 14 between the two properties. They are almost over the street from each other.

Continental breakfasts are included for your convenience.

A message from your hosts Ceri and Pork.
We are a local family running a sheep and beef farm nearby as well as these two B&B's in Whangamomona. The wee sideline to 'keep the Mrs busy' was Porks idea! We want our guests to feel comfortable, relaxed and to enjoy their surroundings during their stay. Our invitation is to come and explore the history of our Republic and enjoy staying in comfortable, newly refurbished accommodations that keep the history alive and kicking.

Ceri and Pork can be contacted on 06 762 5552 or by email whangabridgehouse@farmside.co.nz
