Pictured above: Doreen shared her prize with her friend, Irene Krutz, and two grandchildren, Rio Butler and Santina Snooks.
Her prize included the following:
- Forgotten World Adventures Republic 20 Rail Cart Tour for 4 people from Taumarunui to the Republic of Whangamomona
- A night at the iconic Whangamomona Hotel for 4 people
- 4 pairs of Skellerup Red Bands
Following their Rail Cart adventure on 25 January 2021, Doreen had the following to say:
"I have arrived home this evening after a very eventful 3 days. I would sincerely like to thank you for promoting this excellent prize from Skellerup Red Band, it was truly wonderful.
"I have enormous praise for the Forgotten World staff and their friendly, helpful manner.
"Our first stay was at the Forgotten World Motel, where Mary greeted us. Our family room there was excellent, everything you could need, we were very impressed. I would definitely promote that motel. The following day we were transported to the start point of our 20 tunnel rail cart journey to Whangamomona. Again it was truly wonderful, who needs to go abroad when we have such wonderful scenery here. Jason was our guide and his talks at the stops we had were informative and humorous, also when we stopped for morning tea and lunch that was excellent.
"On arriving in Whangamomona we were very impressed with the family accommodation on the ground floor. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. Truly lovely place to stay.
"Tuesday morning Krystle drove us back to Taumarunui, a lovely lady, again very informative and helpful, I wish all drivers on the roads were as competent as she was.
"Thank you Excellent, Amazing, Forgotten World Adventures, you did so well. Nine years ago, I did the trip from Stratford to Whangamomona and that has always stayed with me and wanting to go again."
