Option to do the trip in reverse, with a 10.30am departure. Start with the Jet Boat and return by Rail Cart.
This was certainly a day to remember! The Jet Boat ride was a great start - the scenery was stunning along with an abundance of bird-life. Pete, our Driver, threw in a couple of Donuts just to keep our heart rates at the speed you would expect from a Jet Boat ride! Shane was our Guide for the Rail Carts and he was both interesting to listen to and full of local knowledge and history. The landscape was rugged and dramatic and made you appreciate the efforts that our pioneers had to go through to clear virgin, New Zealand land. The many tunnels we went through were an Engineering masterpiece. Everything was well organised and completely safe. The staff, right through from the Motel, to the Guides & Sue looking after us with Lunch, were faultless! Highly recommend as a "Do not miss" Tour. Neil C, Auckland, TripAdvisor, February 2021
